About

My name is Lisa MacLeod and I will be your child’s teacher for the 2019-20 school year.

I live in rural PEI with my husband, two teenage sons, and our husky named Qimmik. I grew up in Stratford, PEI and graduated from Charlottetown Rural High School. I then attended UPEI for a bachelor’s degree in psychology (B.A.), and then a bachelor’s degree in education (B.Ed.). As part of my B.Ed., I was fortunate enough to spend two months teaching in Kenya. Four months after returning home from Kenya, I moved to Akulivik, Nunavik to teach for three years. In 2012, we returned home to PEI and I spent some time substitute teaching and then taught at Glen Stewart Primary, Spring Park Elementary, and Westwood PrimaryGeorgetown Elementary in both the English and French Immersion programs. I am so excited to be part of the West Kent team!

When I’m not at school I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. We like to swim and kayak in the summer, and snowshoe and cross-country ski in the winter. No matter what time of year, I really enjoy a great bonfire or curling up with a good book and cup of tea.

I look forward to getting to know you all more through the school year. Please don’t hesitate to contact me whenever you need to at lmmacleod@edu.pe.ca

Lisa 🙂
